Electric mohalla buses will now run in Delhi, know what is the objective of the government

The Delhi government has decided to run electric mohalla buses for the convenience of the people. In this regard, it has been said that the Delhi government is soon going to introduce small-sized electric mohalla buses on the city roads after international expert consultation.

A statement has been issued by the Kejriwal government of Delhi in this regard, in which it has been said that the government is going to run 100 such buses. This will be the first time in the history of Delhi when mohalla buses will be seen plying on the city roads. The government plans to introduce a total of 2,180 such buses by 2025, which will run exclusively in areas where the width of the road is less or the roads are more crowded.

Mohalla bus scheme announced in budget speech

Let us discuss here that the Finance Minister of Delhi had announced the Mohalla Bus Scheme in the budget speech. The objective of this scheme is to provide neighborhood or feeder bus service. The people of Delhi will get a lot of convenience by running 9 meter long electric buses. It has been said by the government that to ensure that the bus scheme is successfully implemented, the International Council for Clean Transport (ICCT) will organize an international expert consultation meeting on 17 April. Kailash Gehlot will preside over the consultation meeting.
