Electric buses will run from Lucknow to these religious cities including Ayodhya, 250 e-buses will join the roadways fleet

Electric Bus:Emphasis is being laid on the use of electric vehicles in the country. That is why the benefit of subsidy is being given to the electric vehicle manufacturer and buyer by the central and state governments. Due to this, the number of private electric vehicles has increased, but now the government is focusing on promoting the use of electric buses in public transport services. Under this, according to the intention of CM Yogi in Uttar Pradesh, preparations have been made to run electric buses on Capex model for Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj, Mathura and Chitrakoot and for this a fleet of 250 e-buses has been included.

To facilitate the movement of people to the religious places of Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has planned to use electric buses. As per the intention of CM Yogi, the Transport Corporation has decided to include 250 electric buses in its bus fleet in the first phase. For this, a letter has been sent for 40 percent grant under the Fame to Scheme of the Government of India. The Government of India has given its in-principle consent to consider in this regard. The Transport Corporation will run inter-city electric buses under the arrangement based on the Capex model.

Travel will be environment friendly

Managing Director Transport Corporation Masoom Ali Sarwar said that in compliance with the instructions of State Government and Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh, there is a plan to increase the operation of electric buses in the fleet of Transport Corporation. He told that the intention of the state government is to connect major religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj, Mathura, Chitrakoot directly with the state capital through electric buses.

Electric buses are pollution free, environment friendly as well as economically economical. In this sequence, in view of Prime Minister Modi’s resolution, the government has decided to operate electric buses to increase its participation in providing better health to passengers by operating environment-friendly pollution-free buses. At the same time, Managing Director Transport Corporation Masoom Ali Sarwar said that major religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj, Mathura, Chitrakoot will be directly connected to the state capital through electric buses.
