Ranchi: On the summons of ED, Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu left the budget session and reached the ED’s regional office in Ranchi on Friday. ED took data from the digital devices of the MP and the Deputy Commissioner of Sahibganj and interrogated Vinod Singh. At the same time, revenue employee Bhanu Prasad was taken to the land located in Bargai and got the details obtained from the mobile verified. A team of ED officials reached the land in Badgai with revenue employee Bhanu Prasad Prasad and Vinod Singh, close to Hemant Soren, who were taken on remand in the land buying and selling case. Vinod Singh also had information about this land.

Bhanu Pratap also physically verified this land in the light of the data received from his mobile. He also confirmed that in the light of the instructions received from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, he had measured this land and had prepared its detailed description. ED interrogated Vinod Singh in connection with WhatsApp chats found from his mobile. During interrogation, he admitted to sending the messages from his mobile.

Here, Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu reached the regional office in Ranchi at around 11:00 am on Friday in the light of the summons issued by ED. In view of the goods found during the raid on the flat in Gurugram, ED had sent summons to him on February 8 and directed him to appear on February 10. Also, the laptop and pen drive seized from the flat in Gurugram were sent to the regional office in Ranchi. When MP Dhir Sahu reached the ED office, he was interrogated in the first phase. In this, questions related to his and his family members’ income and property were asked. He was also asked some questions in connection with the BMW car seized from the Chief Minister’s official residence in Delhi. But he continued to deny any connection with the car. After this, ED extracted the data of his laptop and got his signature on the details related to it. After analyzing the data obtained from the laptop, further questioning will be done.

Sahibganj Deputy Commissioner Ram Niwas Yadav also reached the regional office of the Directorate in Ranchi in the light of the summons issued by ED. The ED had sent summons to him after raiding his house, but he had refused to appear citing the state government banning its employees from appearing before central agencies and issuing SOP. However, after the ED sent a reply to Vandana Dadel’s letter, the Deputy Commissioner himself agreed to appear before the ED. He had requested the ED to call him after January 22. After this, the ED sent him summons and directed him to appear on 10th February. On Saturday, ED extracted the data from his laptop and got his signature on it. He will be interrogated after analyzing the details obtained from the laptop. ED interrogated him in connection with Rs 7.25 lakh cash seized from his house during the raid and 26 bullets of banned weapons. But, he did not give correct answers to the questions related to this.
