ED summons Sahibganj DSP Rajendra Dubey, called for questioning on September 4, know the whole matter

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent summons to DSP Rajendra Dubey of Sahibganj for the second time. He has been directed to appear at ED’s Ranchi regional office on September 4 at 11 am for questioning. He is accused of meeting Pankaj Mishra admitted in RIMS during judicial custody. At present, there is a possibility of his involvement in the latest legal dispute that has emerged in the Vijay Hansda case.

ED had taken CCTV footage to get information about the activities of Pankaj Mishra, who was treated in RIMS. During the investigation of the footage, it was found that DSP Rajendra had met Pankaj Mishra against the rules on October 10 at RIMS. Permission was not taken from the competent authority for this meeting. During the investigation, the ED sent summons to Rajendra for the first time and questioned him on December 9. The DSP had agreed to meet Pankaj after seeing the footage. He told the main purpose of going to RIMS was to meet his ailing relative. But he could not tell the name of the relative, whom he had gone to RIMS to meet.

The ED issued summons to Pankaj Mishra for the second time only in connection with the meeting and directed him to appear for questioning on September 4. Earlier three police officers have been questioned in cases related to Sahibganj illegal mining. The names of DSP Yogendra Tiwari, DSP Pramod Mishra and SI Sarfuddin Khan are included in this. There was a legal dispute with the ED after summons was issued to Pramod Mishra. But on the instructions of the court, Pramod Mishra had to appear for questioning.
