Patna. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) took major action against cyber thugs. Raids were conducted in Patna and Kolkata. During the search, about Rs 1 crore cash was found, while 3 cyber criminals were arrested. Information about number of bank accounts and amount of commission etc. is recorded in the recovered documents. Many videos were also recovered from these cyber thugs, which contain information about new methods of fraud. Although the ED has not officially made any disclosure in this regard, the investigation into the matter is still going on.
Cyber criminals’ network extends to Bihar, West Bengal, UP, Assam, Jharkhand
The network of cyber criminal gang is spread across Bihar, West Bengal, UP, Assam and Jharkhand. Recently, a criminal named Nitish Kumar was arrested from Bakarganj, Patna. During interrogation, he gave the names of many criminals, after which ED arrested two criminals from Kolkata. During the raid in Kolkata, more than Rs 1 crore in cash and documents were recovered from the criminals.
Cyber criminals working like corporate, commission fixed
According to the documents recovered from the criminals, cyber criminals work like a corporate. Everyone’s commission is fixed on the fraudulent earnings. There is a fixed commission for the fraudsters involved in initiating the fraud, using the bank account, withdrawing the money and other activities. The person who invents a new method of cheating and changes the technique after a few days gets the most money.
