Patna. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Dhanbad’s big sand businessman Puran Singh, who is linked to sand syndicate and corruption. ED had called him to Patna for questioning. Poonj alias Puran Singh is posted as Direct in Aditya Multicom Private Limited Company. Aditya Multicom Private Limited is the sister company of Jaduy MLC Radha Charan Sah’s company. Puran Singh does sand business along with Jagnarayan Singh and his son Satish Kumar. This is the third arrest related to Dhanbad.
Arrest of people associated with sand syndicate continues
ED has been taking continuous action since JDU Legislative Councilor Radha Charan Seth was arrested and sent to jail. Armed with this, the ED arrested his son Kanhaiya. After that, on September 16, in a case related to sand syndicate and corruption, among the sand traders associated with Aditya Multicom, Aditya Multicom’s director group officer Jagnarayan Singh and another officer Satish Kumar were arrested. Aditya Multicom’s business is spread in Bihar as well as Jharkhand and many other states. Radha Charan used to run his syndicate with Aditya Multicom and Bradson and used to earn illegal income by investing in these companies.
After Radha Charan Seth, his son was also arrested by ED.
The activities of the Enforcement Directorate regarding the sand syndicate spread in Bihar are suddenly gaining momentum. In this series, JDU Legislative Councilor Radha Charan Seth, a big name among the sand traders of Bihar, was arrested. The Enforcement Directorate has once again taken major action and arrested Radha Charan Seth’s son Kanhaiya. Kanhaiya’s name is also included in the sand syndicate and he helps his father i.e. Seth in his business. They have direct relations with Bradson, the big sand trading group of Bihar.
Kanhaiya was called for questioning by ED on Monday.
According to information received from official sources of the Enforcement Directorate, Kanhaiya was called by ED for questioning on Monday. Kanhaiya was also called to the directorate’s office for questioning earlier this month. The Directorate got many important information from the questions asked to him. Kanhaiya was called back for questioning today. His attitude during interrogation was not satisfactory. He was also avoiding answering the directorate officer. After this, ED took Kanhaiya into its custody on the charges of being an equal partner in the sand syndicate and being involved in corruption.
ED preparing to take on remand
If sources are to be believed, Kanhaiya may be interrogated for a long time. After this he was presented in the special court of ED, from where he was sent to jail. ED will demand his remand from the special court. After arresting Radha Charan Seth, two businessmen of Aditya Multicom, Jagnarayan Singh and Satish Kumar, involved in the sand syndicate, have also been taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate team on Saturday. This is the fourth arrest in illegal sand trade.
