Samastipur. For the convenience of passengers, many festival special trains are being operated on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath. Keeping in view the demand of passengers, a total of 75 pairs of festival special trains, starting and ending from East Central Railway jurisdiction, are being operated during the festival season this year. Through which a total of 1131 rounds will be made. A total of 1 lakh 50 thousand berths have been made available by these special trains. Whereas last year, a total of 60 pairs of festival special trains were operated during this period. Through which a total of 696 rounds were made. There were a total of 1 lakh 5 thousand berths. A total of 19 festival special trains passing through East Central Railway jurisdiction are also being operated openly from other zonal railways. A total of 222 trips will be made by these special trains. Through which berths have been provided to more than 20 thousand people. Whereas last year, 100 trips were made by the same number of special trains. Through which berths were made available to about 10 thousand people.
Pooja special train from Samastipur to Ahmedabad
In view of the extra rush of passengers during Diwali and Chhath, special trains will be operated from Delhi to Jaynagar and Sitamarhi, Ahmedabad to Samastipur. 09413/09414 Ahmedabad-Samastipur-Ahmedabad Special (Bhusaval-Jabalpur-Satna-Prayagraj via Chhivki-DDU-Patna-Barauni) 09413 Ahmedabad-Samastipur Special (Weekly) on 9, 16, 23 and 30 November (Thursday) at 15.30 from Ahmedabad.
