In the early hours of Wednesday, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake once again hit Katra city of Jammu and Kashmir, while two tremors of 4.2 and 2.7 magnitude were felt in Doda district. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 2:20 pm at a depth of 10 km, 81 km east of Katra.

Earlier on Tuesday, earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir. Earthquake tremors were felt in many areas of North India on Tuesday. Apart from India, earthquake tremors were also felt by people in China and Pakistan.

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale occurred 30 km southeast of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, while a magnitude 4.3 was measured on Wednesday. In less than 24 hours, the effect of earthquake was seen in many cities of India including Delhi-NCR, Jammu Kashmir, Chandigarh.

There is a possibility of an earthquake ranging from 4 to 4.4 on the Richter scale. This earthquake has nothing to do with cyclone Biparjoy. Even today, the earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir is being seen in this Srini.
