Durga Puja is celebrated with great pomp in Bokaro. Lakhs of rupees are being spent on the pandals made for puja. This time, the craze for Chandrayaan-3 and the newly constructed Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya will be seen in the Durga Puja pandal of Bokaro. The construction work of an attractive puja pandal in the format of famous temples of India is going on in full swing. Chandrayaan-03 will be seen in the puja pandal of Dundibad market and a glimpse of the newly constructed Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya will be seen in Camp-II. In Sector 9, a pandal on the model of ISKCON Temple Mayapur is being built at a cost of Rs 12 lakh, while in Sector 2, the construction work of a pandal on the model of Prem Mandir of Vrindavan-UP is going on at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. Apart from this, grand and attractive puja pandals are being built for Durga Puja at other places including Sector 12, Sector 1, Sector 4F, Sector 8, Ritudih. Besides, electrical decoration is also being done in an attractive manner. To make the Durga Utsav grand, the committees are also spending various expenses on it.

Inside the puja pandal at Sri Sri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samiti Camp-2, a view of the newly constructed Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya will be visible, which will be the center of attraction. Committee Chairman Rajesh Kumar Singh said: Durga Puja is being celebrated in Camp-2 since 1975. The scene inside the puja pandal here remains in discussion every time. This time too the view of the newly constructed Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya will be the center of attraction. Approximately seven lakh rupees will be spent on puja pandal, decorations, lighting, puja and prasad, immersion. The residents of Camp-2 are getting cooperation.

The view of Chandrayaan-03 will be seen inside the puja pandal of Sri Sri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samiti Dundibad market. Committee Chairman Shiv Kumar Yadav said: An attractive puja pandal is being made at a cost of Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand. Sixty thousand rupees will be spent on the scene and Rs 20 thousand will be spent on the statue. The scene of puja pandal of Dundibad market is the center of attraction every time. This time also the people of Bokaro will see an attractive sight in the form of Chandrayaan-03. It is being built in the honor of ISRO scientists.

Durga Puja Pandal

Sri Sri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samiti is building a puja pandal on the model of ISKCON temple Mayapur-Bengal at a cost of Rs 12 lakh in Vaishali Mod-Sector 9. Committee Chairman Shashibhushan alias Ginni Baba said: The pandal will be 100 feet long and 90 feet high. More than two dozen artisans from Howrah are engaged in the construction work of the pandal. Like every time, this time too the puja pandal will be the center of discussion in Bokaro. Two lakh rupees will be spent on the grand statue and scene of Maa Durga. The scene will be based on the war between Kalia Naag and Krishna.

A puja pandal on the model of Prem Mandir of Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh) is being built in Sri Sri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samiti Sector-02 at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. Committee Chairman Rajeshwar Singh said: The pandal will be 120 feet wide and 85 feet high. About two dozen artisans from Jamtara are engaged in making it. Rs 2.5 lakh will be spent on electrical equipment. Grand statues of Gods and Goddesses will be installed inside the pandal, which will cost Rs 2 lakh. The statue will be made by artisans from Durgapur and Asansol.

Shardiya Navratri will start with the installation of Kalash on 15th October.
