Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and co-written by Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, Dunky is the result of the first collaboration between Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan (SRK). The film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover and Jyoti Subhash. Dunky explores the concept of a flight, depicting the illegal transportation of people across countries such as the US or Canada. The movie will be released in theaters on December 21, 2023. So far, the makers have released several songs from the film, like Loot Putt Gaya, O Mahi, Nikle De Kabhi Hum Ghar Se and Banda. Through the ‘Donkey Drop’ promotion, the makers have effectively piqued the curiosity of the audience. According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Dinky’ has earned around Rs 7 crore from advance booking in India. Till 10 pm on 18th December, the film sold around 218.7K tickets and collected around Rs 6.50 crore.
