On the 15th day, the film earned a total of Rs 526 crore in India. ‘Jawaan’ will now challenge the all-time domestic record of ‘Pathan’ of Rs 543 crore. Dunky will be released on some OTT platform
Shahrukh Khan will work with Rajkumar Hirani for the first time with Dunky. Recently, during Jawan’s success press conference, Shahrukh Khan revealed that he will bring a dinky this Christmas. Shahrukh Khan will be paired with Taapsee Pannu for the first time in Dunki. Now according to reports, the OTT rights of Donkey have already been acquired by Jio Cinema and not by Netflix. Jio Cinema has got the rights for a huge amount. He bought the digital rights of Donkey for Rs 155 crore. According to the report of Indian Express, the digital and satellite rights of Donkey have been sold for a huge amount of Rs 230 crore. Donkey is being produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Gauri Khan and Jyoti Deshpande.

Dunky will be released on Christmas
The much-awaited project, which is touted to be a comedy-drama film, will mark the first onscreen collaboration of Shah Rukh Khan and senior filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. Donkey, which revolves around the ‘donkey flight’ system that allegedly supports illegal immigration, stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. National Award-winning actor Vicky Kaushal is said to be playing an extended cameo role in the project, which will star Boman Irani, Satish Shah, Rajeev Khandelwal, Dia Mirza and others in supporting roles. This Shahrukh Khan starrer film will be released on screens on December 22 this year.

Earlier, while talking about the release date of Dunky during the Jawan press conference, Shahrukh Khan had said, “We will start with ‘Pathan’ on January 26, I have brought Jawan on Janmashtami, and now the New Year is coming. Yes, it is Christmas, I am going to bring a donkey in it, keeping all the national unity, anyway, when my film comes, it is Eid.

In his conversation with News18 Shosha, director Atlee talked in detail about working with Shahrukh Khan in Jawan. The filmmaker, who is a big fan of King Khan, also mentioned how excited he is for the superstar’s upcoming film Dunky. The Jawan director said, “I haven’t seen any rush for Donkey, but I am extremely excited for the film. I plan to watch it on the biggest screen with the audience when it releases.” The young filmmaker said, “Rajkumar Hirani came to meet us on the sets of Sir Jawan and he saw the first reel of my film during mixing.” The hitmaker revealed, “So, I am aware of the intricacies of Rajkumar Hirani sir’s writing and I have taken inspiration from him. I respect him as a writer.”
