‘Dinky’ releases in theaters on December 21, 2023. Shahrukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu are in the lead roles in the film, while Vicky Kaushal was seen doing a cameo.
Rajkumar Hirani directed and edited the film, and he also wrote the script with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. The film was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films.
According to media reports, Jio Cinema emerged as the top bidder and successfully secured the rights to release Dinky on an OTT platform.
This means that viewers will soon be able to enjoy the film on Jio Cinema. Although the actual release date is still under discussion, but if reports are to be believed, ‘Dinky’ will be available on Jio Cinema by February 2024.
The OTT rights of ‘Dinky’ were bought for a whopping sum of Rs 155 crore, making it one of the most significant post-theatrical deals in history.
‘Dinky’ made its way to theaters across the world on December 21, 2023. Although opinions varied among critics, some praised the film and some compared it to Jawan and Pathan.
Dunky grossed an impressive Rs 436.39 crore (equivalent to US$55 million) globally. It is expected that the movie will soon join the Rs 500 crore club.

Rajkumar Hirani had recently talked about the box office numbers. He said that Shahrukh Khan had already told him that this movie would not work like Pathan and Jawan.
