A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the voters in the by-election for Dumri assembly seat. Eagerness is being seen among the maximum number of women voters to vote.
Voting is going on at all the booths from 7 am amid tight security. Let us tell you that many Panchayats of Dumri assembly constituency are Naxal affected and ultra Naxal affected, where earlier people did not even come out of their homes to cast their vote due to fear of Naxalites, but now tremendous voting is taking place in the Naxal stronghold.
Officers and jawans of District Police and CRPF are deployed since morning for peaceful polling in Dumri area.
Security force personnel are taking stock of every sensitive booth of Dumri. Whereas SP Deepak Kumar Sharma reached many booths besides Akbakkitand booth adjacent to Jharha.
LMPs are also deployed for security during elections. Muffsil station in-charge Kamlesh Paswan is patrolling the Baragadha area of Muffsil police station area adjacent to Dumri’s tunnels.
Since this area is the area of Krishna, a Naxalite with a reward of 15 lakhs, at present Krishna is in Hansda Jail, but despite this the police is keeping a special watch in this area.
Voters are feeling safe in the presence of security forces. They are fearlessly exercising their franchise.
There was a time when people did not come out to vote due to the fear of Naxalites, but now such an environment is no longer there. Picket has opened in this area. The market also remains bright throughout the day. Due to which there has been a big change in the area.
Special security arrangements have been made for taking the polling personnel to the booths and till the polling is over. Giridih SP Amit Renu himself was seen patrolling the entire area since morning.
