Dumri By-election: On Sunday, September 3, 2023, the last day of campaigning for Dumri by-election, the efforts of political parties were seen on the streets. While Chief Minister Hemant Soren was seen doing a road show in favor of INDIA candidate Baby Devi, AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato participated in the padyatra in favor of NDA candidate Yashoda Devi. It is known that the election campaign for the by-election to be held on September 5, 2023 stopped at 5 pm on September 3. Padyatra taken out under the leadership of AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato
The padyatra taken out in favor of NDA candidate Yashoda Devi started from Kodwadih turn of Nawadih in Bokaro district to Katghara turn, Nawadih Chowk, Block Chowk. While the second padyatra was taken out in Telo Basti of Nawadih. Apart from this, meetings were held in Telo and Alargo. This march was led by AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato.

Visit to 70 Panchayats of Dumri Assembly Constituency
He said that he visited 70 panchayats of Dumri assembly constituency and interacted with every section of the society. Sudesh Mahato took out a five km long padyatra in Dumri of Giridih
Earlier, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato took out a five kilometer long padyatra in Dumri area of Giridih. A crowd of workers and supporters gathered in the march. This padyatra, which started from Simradih turn, passed through Dumri, Jamtara and ended at Isri Bazar railway gate. A large number of women also participated in this five kilometer march.
