The fair was inaugurated by local MLA Sita Soren. The MLA paid obeisance at the Kali temple of Lakhanpur and prayed to Maa Kali for happiness and prosperity for the citizens of the entire country including Jharkhand. During this, he appealed to the people present to take advantage of the public welfare schemes of the Jharkhand Government and said that the Jharkhand Government has launched the Abua Awas Yojana for houseless families, the applications for which will be taken during the ‘Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program organized in the Panchayats. .
