Bihar Heat Wave: It is scorching hot in Bihar these days. The temperature is still 43 to 44 degrees and this deadly heat has unilaterally created conditions of undeclared curfew. This is the condition of summer in the month of April while the month of Jeth is yet to come. Due to this heat, where the water level has also started falling on one side, on the other hand, fear has started troubling about the railway track as well. The railway tracks have started getting crooked in the summer. When the track was found crooked in Darbhanga, the train was stopped for about a quarter of an hour at some distance in a hurry. At the same time, patrolling is being done on other routes including Bhagalpur.

Fear of shrinkage and breakage of track

Just as there is a fear of shrinkage and breaking of the track in the cold, in the same way there is a danger of the railway track becoming crooked in this scorching heat. In view of this danger, patrolling has been started in Bhagalpur railway section under the leadership of PWIR RK Singh. Patrolling is being done from Bhagalpur to Jamalpur and from Bhagalpur to Pirpainti. Daily reports are being given to the PWI by the railwaymen engaged in the patrolling team.

Train stopped on Darbhanga route, track found crooked

Recently, due to scorching heat near Tektar station of Darbhanga-Sitamarhi railway line, there was a defect in the track. The Darbhanga-Raxaul passenger was stopped for about 45 minutes. During the inspection near Tektar station, the railway worker’s eyes suddenly fell on the track which had become crooked. He immediately informed the officials about this. After this, the passenger train going from Darbhanga to Raxaul was stopped near Tektar station.

Railway department also alert

The temperature is increasing day by day in Bihar. In such a situation, the railway department has also been alerted to prevent the railway track from spreading. For this, the measurement process of the railway track has also been started. To prevent the spread of Saharsa-Mansi, Saharsa-Purnia and Saharsa-Supaul railway tracks, a team of the concerned department has been deployed in each section and the measurement process is also going on.

The danger of spreading the track, the train may land

Let us tell you that with the increase in temperature in summer, there is a danger of spreading of the track. There should be a distance of minus 6 to plus 20 mm between the rails for safe operation. If the track spreads, both the engine and the train can derail and the possibility of an accident increases. In such a situation, many departments have been engaged in the measurement process for safe operation.
