DU Admission 2023: Delhi University will launch two separate portals for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the Common Seat Allocation System, a senior official said. Also said that the admission process of the university is likely to start by May 20. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be through CSAS (UG) 2023 and CSAS (PG) 2023.

Common University Entrance Test for admission to postgraduate programs for the first time

This will be the first time that the University is opting for the Common University Entrance Test for admission to postgraduate programmes. It had given admission to students in 70 of its colleges through CUET-UG last year. Students seeking admission in DU will have to appear in CUET (UG)-2023 and CUET (PG)-2023 and also register on the CSAS UG and PG portal of DU. The official said the university expects the admission process to be “smooth” this year.

Registration for CUET Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs continues

According to the official, “We are all set to take admission in UG and PG programs through CUET. We will launch two separate portals for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.” The official also said that “Last year, we conducted the admission through CUET for the first time. According to the sources this year the admission process will be easier. We are ready to conduct the PG admission also for the first time. We will also discuss about are assured.” Registrations for CUET Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are going on.

Highest number of applications for CUET (UG) to Delhi University

Till last week, around 14 lakh applications were received for CUET-UG, which is 41 per cent more than last year’s first edition. The maximum number of applications have been received for CUET (UG) from Delhi University, followed by Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and Jamia Millia Islamia.

CUET UG Exam from 21-31 May

CUET (UG) is the second largest entrance exam in the country in terms of applicants. In the first edition of CUET (UG), 12.50 lakh students registered themselves and out of them 9.9 lakh submitted their applications. The exam is to be conducted from May 21-31. DU has failed to fill all 70,000 seats in the current academic session, despite best efforts, as seven per cent seats in all its colleges are vacant. The university had admitted 11,300 postgraduate students in various courses.
