Ranchi: Drug peddlers are increasingly trapping the youth of Ranchi. Fearless drug peddlers are openly making the youth addicted to drugs and pushing them towards death in Sukhdevnagar, Doranda, Argora, Lower Bazaar, Bariatu, Khelgaon and Sadar police station areas of Ranchi. Four boys from Ranchi and Hazaribagh have lost their lives due to drugs in the year 2023. In the last three months, about 200 youth have been admitted to the drug de-addiction center of Rinpas. Despite this, strict action does not seem to be taken against drug dealers. If the situation continues like this, Jharkhand will also become “Flying Punjab”.
The young man ran away after reaching RIMS
Chhotu of Bariatu and Anil of Booti gave an overdose of drugs to a youth from Hazaribagh. When his condition became serious, both of them took him to RIMS and ran away. After this, he called the father of the youth living in Hazaribagh and said that his son has taken too much drugs. Is in RIMS. On this information the father reached RIMS. He saw that the son was lying dead in a car.
Young man lost his life due to overdose
A 26-year-old youth, resident of Sainik Colony of Khelgaon police station area, died of drug overdose in the year 2023. In this case, the father of the deceased had lodged an FIR against Gobra and others. Even today, parents’ eyes fill with tears remembering their son.
Only son lost his life due to drugs, family in shock
The only son of a businessman from Hinu had come to Ranchi after pursuing higher education from abroad. While completing his education, he got involved in drugs. He was given treatment at many places, but he did not get rid of his addiction. He died in the year 2023. The grief of the death of their 25-year-old only son still torments the family.
Tatisilve youth was given drug overdose, lost his life
In the year 2023, an incident took place in Khelgaon police station area of Ranchi. Some youths had run away leaving a young man in an unconscious state near the boundary wall of the Army Ground. Someone informed this young man’s elder brother and father. The family reached there from Tatisilve and hurriedly took him to a hospital in Namkum. Where the doctors declared the young man dead. The family lodged an FIR for murder at Khelgaon police station. Police arrested the deceased youth’s friend Rudra Nath of Sainik Colony, Sagar of Lalganj Pirtaul and Avinash alias Bajrangi. These people told the police that on the day of the incident all the friends had taken drugs in Sakhuabagan. After this, in the afternoon, he took drugs in a dilapidated house behind Orient Craft. Everyone again consumed drugs in the evening. His friend became unconscious due to overdose. For this reason we left him near the army ground and ran away. Friends of the deceased student had told the police that they had bought drugs from Rohit Kumar, a resident of Kokar in Sadar police station area. On this basis, the police also arrested him and sent him to jail.
