Driving institutes will open in these 6 districts of Kanpur division, commercial DL will not be made without training

To curb the increasing deaths in road accidents in the state, the Transport Department has decided to open driving institutes in all the six districts of Kanpur division. Only those who undergo training in these institutes will get the driving license for four wheeler or commercial vehicle. This institute has been started from Rae Bareli. Recently, the Chairman of the Road Safety Committee had come to Kanpur and reviewed the situation. Concern was expressed about accidents caused by inefficient driving. It was told that now approval has been given to open driving institutes in every district. If institutes are opened in the district then the steering of vehicles will be in the hands of trained people. In such a situation, the accidents which are happening now due to ignorance of traffic rules will not happen. Driving institutes will open in Kanpur Nagar, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj and Kanpur Dehat.

17 lakh vehicles in Kanpur, 37.12 lakh DL holders

About 17 lakh two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers and heavy vehicles are registered in Kanpur city. While 37.12 lakh people have DL in the district. At present RTO does not have its own driving institute. Due to this, it is a compulsion to issue DL without training. There is an automatic driving track in Kanpur city but there is no automatic driving track in any other district of the division.

Kanpur tops in accidents in UP

Maximum deaths in road accidents occur in UP and Kanpur in the country. In Kanpur, more deaths occurred in road accidents than there were during the Corona period. More than one thousand people have lost their lives in accidents in Kanpur in one year. The department is trying to reduce this figure. Deputy Transport Commissioner, Zone, Dr. Vijay Kumar said that after the opening of the driving institute, DL holders will learn the basic rules of driving. You will also acquire the qualities of a perfect driver. This will reduce road accidents.
