Jamshedpur: There was a hail of bullets again on Sunday in Ulidih police station area of East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. Sunny Kumar Yadav, a resident of Baridih Moharda, was shot six times by three miscreants riding a bike near Vasundhara Estate in NH under Ulidih police station. Due to this, Sunny Kumar Yadav died on the spot. The miscreants also shot him in the head. After committing the crime the attackers fled towards Baliguma. The attackers are said to be Praveer Singh, resident of Mango Post Office Road, and his two associates.
FIR registered for murder
The incident occurred around 11.55 am. The deceased Sunny Yadav was the driver of a trip trailer in Jai Maa Kamini Roadways located in Mango. The police arrived after the incident and recovered six shell casings from the spot. Police sends dead body for post-mortem. In this case, on the statement of deceased’s cousin brother Vishal Yadav, an FIR for murder has been registered against Praveer Singh, Sunil Thakur and others in Ulidih police station.
The family members are in bad condition by crying.
On receiving information about the incident, Sunny Kumar Yadav’s family members and relatives reached the incident site and post-mortem house. Seeing Sunny’s dead body, the family members were in distress and started crying. On receiving the information, Jai Maa Kamini Roadways Director Prajwal Vajpayee also reached the spot. Prajjwal Vajpayee told that Sunny Kumar Yadav had started working as a driver in his transport only a week ago. Was the driver of a trip trailer. Due to the vehicle being damaged, it was allowed to be repaired in a garage near Dimna Chowk on Sunday. For this, Sunny Kumar Yadav and a transport employee had gone to the garage. The employee was in the garage, while Sunny Kumar Yadav was at some distance from the garage. He was shot there.

Sunny Kumar Yadav lived with his maternal uncle
Here, Roshan Kumar Yadav, brother of the deceased’s brother-in-law Bhola Yadav, who arrived after getting information about the incident, told that at around 10.45 am on Sunday Sunny had called him and asked for Rs 500. He asked to transfer money online. I transferred the money. Sunny had said that he would return the money by 8 pm. After some time he got information about the shooting. Sunny Kumar Yadav earlier lived with his maternal uncle in Mango Gurudwara Road. He has previously gone to jail in a firing case. Sunny was friends with Munna Singh who was jailed in the Pradeep Singh murder case. After being released from jail, his maternal uncle left Mango and built a house in Baridih Moharda. Sunny also lived there. Leaving crime, he started working as a driver. For this he went to Chhattisgarh. He returned home this Holi. During this time he had also got the license made. After Holi was over, he went back to Chhattisgarh. He had returned from Chhattisgarh only 10 days ago and was working as a driver in a transport in Mango. He had distanced himself from crime.
FIR registered in Ulidih police station
Vishal Kumar Yadav, cousin of the deceased, has alleged the involvement of Praveer Kumar Singh, Sunil Thakur and their associates in Sunny’s murder. In this regard, Vishal Kumar Yadav has lodged an FIR for murder against Praveer Kumar Singh, Sunil Thakur and others in Ulidih police station. According to Vishal Kumar Yadav, Sunny Yadav had a dispute with Sunil Thakur and Pradeep Singh in the past. Pradeep Singh has been murdered in Bhuiandih. On receiving information about the incident, City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, DSP Patmada Vachandev Kujur, Ulidih police station in-charge Amit Kumar reached the spot with the team. According to the police, the deceased Sunny Kumar Yadav had gone to jail in a firing case in the year 2018. Raids are being conducted in search of the accused.
Praveer is absconding in Raja Singh murder case
Praveer Singh, resident of Mango Post Office Road, accused in Sunny Kumar Yadav murder case, is the main accused in the murder of Raja Singh in Mango Post Office Road on February 2, 2024. He is absconding in that murder case. According to the information, deceased Sunny Yadav’s associate Munna Singh is in jail in the case of murder of Pradeep Singh in Bhuiandih. The murder of Sunny Kumar Yadav is also being considered as revenge for the murder of Pradeep Singh. Police is searching for Praveer Kumar Singh, Rahul Bachha and others in the murder case of Sunny Kumar Yadav. Sunil Thakur is lodged in Ghaghidih jail in the Raja Singh murder case.
Sunny’s wife is pregnant
The wife of deceased Sunny Kumar Yadav is pregnant. He has a one and a half year old daughter. Sunny’s father lives in Delhi. The family has informed his father about the incident. He was the only son. Post mortem of the body could not be done on Sunday. Post mortem of the body will be done on Monday.
Two youths and a bike rider were seen running in CCTV
After the incident, the police examined the CCTV footage around the incident site. In the CCTV footage, the police have seen two youths running on foot, while a youth was riding a bike. Police is busy searching for the miscreants on the basis of CCTV footage.
