Dinanath Yadav reached DM office and pleaded to be brought back alive, the old man is declared dead on papers.

Agra. You must have seen the film “Kaagaz” starring Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi. In which a person is declared dead on government papers. After that begins the struggle of that person to make himself alive in the government papers. A similar case was seen in Agra also. 70-year-old Dinanath Yadav, resident of Etmadpur, Agra, reached the District Officer’s office with leaflets saying “I am alive” in his hands. Seeing this pamphlet in his hand, people were suddenly shocked and started trying to find out the reason. Why has this old man come to the District Officer’s office with the paper saying “I am alive”? 70 year old Dinanath Yadav is a resident of village Nagla Hansraj Mauza Dharaira of Etmadpur area. He says that he does farming and was receiving ₹ 500 per month for the last 2 years from the old age pension received from the government. But last March his pension suddenly stopped. To know about this he reached the village secretary’s office. But he could not get satisfactory information. In such a situation, he reached Vikas Bhawan located in Sanjay Place. Where he came to know that due to the actions of an officer, Dinanath had been declared dead in the government papers and due to this his pension was withheld.

Problem not resolved even in 8 months

Dinanath told that for this he lodged his complaint in the concerned block secretary’s office. But he was not heard. After this, he visited Vikas Bhawan about two-three times. Even after searching many government offices, Dinanath’s problem could not be resolved for the last 8 months and he has not been able to get his pension. When Dinanath was not heard anywhere, he got the pamphlet printed saying “I am alive” and reached the District Magistrate’s office in Agra Collectorate with his problem. As soon as they saw the pamphlet in his hand, people surrounded him and started knowing about his problem. After this, Dinanath told that Gaurav Pathak was posted on the post of Village Secretary in Block Etmadpur. They declared Dinanath dead during verification. Due to which his pension stopped. Many times he visited the office of the Gram Panchayat Secretary. But there was no disposal of them. He told that after some time Gram Panchayat Secretary Gaurav Pathak was transferred. But their problem remains the same. Under compulsion, he had to come to the District Magistrate’s office with his complaint.

A call was made to the village secretary from the DM office.

Dinanath Yadav told that in the absence of the District Magistrate, there was a meeting with another officer in the District Magistrate’s office. He called Etmadpur Gram Panchayat Secretary and informed him about the problem. And instructions have been given to resolve the problem. In such a situation, my health is not good right now. When I feel well, I will go and meet the village secretary. After this I will know when my problem will be resolved.
