Did BJP snatch Congress’ issue of Madhya Pradesh cabinet expansion? Jyotiraditya Scindia’s dominance continues

After registering a spectacular victory in the assembly elections, BJP is eyeing the Lok Sabha elections. This is the reason why the party tried to solve the caste equation in the 28 MLAs who were sworn in as ministers in the Mohan Yadav-led BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, 12 of the ministers who took oath come from the OBC category. Seven MLAs come from the general category while five from the ST category have been made ministers. Not only this, four MLAs are from ST category. Let us tell you that Mohan Yadav himself belongs to OBC category. With this, the number of OBC leaders in the new government of Madhya Pradesh has increased to 13. Before the elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was continuously attacking the central government regarding the OBC category. In a way, through the new cabinet of Madhya Pradesh, BJP has tried to snatch another issue from the opposition.

Jyotiraditya Scindia’s dominance was visible

Apart from this, the dominance of Jyotiraditya Scindia, who left Congress and joined BJP, has been seen in this cabinet. If we look at the reason, Scindia’s close aides Aidal Singh Kansana, Govind Rajput, Pradyuman Singh Tomar and Tulsiram Silavat have been given place in the cabinet. All of them left Congress and joined BJP with Scindia in March 2020 and were continuously working hard in their fields. Among these, Tulsiram Silavat is very close to Scindia. Pradyuman Singh Tomar and Tulsi Silavat also held the post of ministers in the previous Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government.

It is noteworthy that 28 MLAs were included in the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday. A total of 18 MLAs took oath as cabinet ministers, while 10 others took oath as ministers of state, including six ministers with independent charge. 17 new faces were seen in the new cabinet. Of the 28 ministers, five are women, 12 are from the OBC community, five are tribals and four others are from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
