Dhanbad: Trains delayed due to fog, GM took alert information

The speed of trains has been affected due to fog. Trains coming from New Delhi and Jammu Tawi are running late by hours. Regarding this, on Wednesday, General Manager of East Central Railway, Anil Kumar Khandelwal took information on the points of safe operation through video conferencing. He said that the maintenance of railway tracks, electric overhead wires and signals should be monitored 24 hours so that there is no disruption in rail service. He also took stock of other points. GM connected online with 670 employees directly associated with railway operations, including DRM, and interacted with them. Said that safety of trains and safety of passengers is his priority. This is also the responsibility of every employee. The General Manager directed the officers to increase the average speed of goods trains. Said to prepare an action plan for this. These trains arrived late

Due to fog, New Delhi-Sealdah and Howrah Rajdhani Express reached Dhanbad station late by hours on Wednesday. Howrah Rajdhani reached 3.41 hours late. Due to late running, this train will be delayed by hours even on Thursday. New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani Express arrived five hours late. It will arrive late on Thursday also. Sealdah Duronto Express arrived late by 12.40 hours.
