Dhanbad News: After being insulted by the teacher, a class 10 student of Dhanbad St. Xavier’s School Tetulmari committed suicide by hanging herself. Late of Hanumangarhi Colony of deceased Tetulmari police station area. Vijay Bauri’s 17 year old daughter was Usha Kumari. He hanged himself with the help of a scarf in his residence on Monday morning. It is alleged that teacher Sindhu slapped Usha publicly in the school premises and expelled her from the school. On being insulted, the student took this step. He hanged himself in the school uniform. After getting the information, Tetulmari police station Ashish Kumar Yadav reached the spot and sent the dead body to SNMMCH for postmortem. Police has recovered a suicide note from the pocket of the deceased.
Usha’s mother Vandana Devi has told the police that Usha went to school on Monday. His son told that he had received a call from Didi’s school. They are being called. When the mother went to school, the principal said that her daughter was very ill-mannered and at the same time expelled her from the school. After that they came home. After some time Usha hanged herself in the room. Here, on the complaint of Vandana Devi, the Tetulmari police lodged an FIR against school principal RK Singh and teacher Sindhu late at night. SHO Ashish Kumar Yadav said that the case has been registered. Postmortem of the dead body will be done after constituting a medical board.
The girl student wrote in the suicide note, “The reason for my suicide is Sir and Miss Sindhu”.
Before committing suicide, the girl student wrote a suicide note in the name of Tetulmari police station in-charge. It is written in it- ‘I am Usha Kumari’s father late. Vijay Bauri Tetulmari is a resident of Hanumangarhi. I don’t have a father. I am a student of class 10th. Today in school a teacher slapped in front of everyone. In front of the whole school, I was insulted and thrown out. I am not able to tolerate this insult, due to which I am committing suicide. The name of the teacher is Sindhu Madam. The name of the headmaster is RK Singh. The reason for my suicide is Sir and Miss Sindhu. I request you to look into this problem of mine and after my death, action should be taken against Sindhu Madam as soon as possible.
Principal RK Singh said
The student came to school on Monday. He did some mischief during the assembly. On this, teacher Sindhu had explained to her, on which the student replied in reverse and said that you are a teacher of junior class. The talk of slapping and being expelled from school is wrong. When the student’s mother was informed, she took the student to her home after the assembly. A sister and a brother of the girl student also study in the same school.
Teacher Sindhu said
I am a teacher of classes 3 to 6, while the student was in 10th standard. I do not know and do not recognize her, because I have never been to her class. On Monday, the student was crying in the next room of the library, so I wanted to know the reason for crying. He told that there is some domestic problem. When I forbade the girl student from coming to school by wearing a bindi, the girl child abused me. He said that you do not have the right to speak like this. I informed the principal about the matter and went to the class. The allegation of slapping is baseless.
