According to the agreement, the agencies were to maintain the street lights for seven years, the tenure of which was completed six months ago. Now the Municipal Corporation is maintaining the street lights at its own level. Before the festival, out of 22 thousand street lights, 1500 were faulty. From Durga Puja to Chhath, about one thousand street lights were repaired. Still more than five hundred street lights are extinguished.
