Dhanbad: CEA board will be formed to control hospitals running without license.

A board will be formed to control the hospitals operating without Clinical Establishment Act (CEA) in the district. Civil Surgeon Dr. Chandrabhanu Pratapan has written a letter to ADM Law and Order for the formation of CEA Board. In this he has told that due to lack of formation of CEA Board in the district, many hospitals, clinics and nursing homes are running without license. A board should be formed to control these hospitals. It should be noted that a board has not been formed for a long time to enforce CEA in the district. In such a situation, some officials of the health department are investigating and issuing licenses as per their wish. To stop this, the CS has requested the district administration to form a board.

After formation of CEA board, hospitals will be re-examined

The Civil Surgeon said that the Deputy Commissioner is the Chairman of the CEA Board. On his instructions, other than CS, other doctors are included in the board. After the formation of the CEA Board, hospitals operating without license will be re-examined. Action will be taken against those running hospitals, clinics and nursing homes against the rules.
