Development work of Madhubani station started under Amrit Bharat Yojana, PRS counter will be rejuvenated in the first phase.

Madhubani. Development work of Madhubani railway station has been started under Amrit Bharat Yojana. In the first phase, construction work of stairs has been started for the passengers to reach the PRS counter. It may be noted that under Amrit Bharat Yojana, three railway stations of the district, Sakri, Madhubani and Jaynagar, are to be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 56 crore 40 lakh. On August 6, the Prime Minister had announced to provide world class facilities by redeveloping all three stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Under this scheme, the main building of Madhubani station is being shaped keeping in mind its historical importance.

These facilities have to be developed

Various facilities at Madhubani station including 12 meter foot overbridge, flag post in circulating area, high mast light, digital clock, PP shelter, station building, high level platform, two general waiting halls and one upper waiting hall, spread over seven thousand 801 square meters. Parking area, model infrastructure toilet with waiting hall, expansion of circulating area, second entrance in the new building of the station, separate toilet and other facilities for the disabled, construction of porch circulation, new integrated passenger information system will be provided.

This GRP post will be constructed

Apart from this, some work is also to be done at Madhubani Railway Station. Some work has already been done, out of which, for the GRP OP located on platform number one, a GRP OP building has been constructed near the ROB built on the old Gumti number 12. DRM Vinay Srivastava has said that after this the old GRP post will be demolished and other construction work will be done there. We will have to wait for at least a year to see Madhubani station in a new look.

Funds have been approved for three stations

Under the Amrit Bharat programme, three stations in the district will be made hi-tech. For which redevelopment will be done at a cost of Rs 56 crore 40 lakh. For this, an amount of Rs 20 crore has been sanctioned to Madhubani station, Rs 17 crore 50 lakh to Jaynagar and Rs 18 crore 90 lakh to Sakri.

Madhubani station

Madhubani station will be redeveloped under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. For which the Central Government has approved Rs 20 crore. Under this, construction of foot over bridge, development of circulating area, signage, second entrance, high mast light, digital clock and PP center will be done.

Jayanagar Station

Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Rs 17 crore 50 lakh has been sanctioned for the development of the station. Under which foot over bridge, high mast light, digital clock, development of circulating area, redevelopment of station building and PP shelter will be constructed.

Sakri Station

Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, approval of Rs 18 crore 90 lakh has been given for the development of Sakri Station. Under which foot over bridge, high mast light, digital clock, development of circulating area, lift, redevelopment of station building and PP shelter will be constructed. DRM Vinay Kumar Srivastava said that the work of redevelopment of the station has been started under Amrit Bharat Scheme. Work is being done in a phased manner to ensure that passengers do not face any kind of problem.
