Despite the decline in sales of Tata Motors, sales of EVs increased, 74,172 Tata vehicles sold in November.

Tata Motors Limited reports sales of 74,172 units in November 2023

Tata Motors Ltd. has registered sales of 74,172 units in November 2023, which is 1.6% lower as compared to 75,478 units recorded in the same period last year. In passenger vehicles, the company recorded sales of 46,068 units last month, which is 0.07% higher as compared to 46,037 units recorded in the same period last year.

Tata Motors has sold 75 electric vehicles in the international markets, which is 81% less as compared to 388 electric vehicles sold in the same period last year. In the global and domestic markets, the company has sold 4,761 electric vehicles, which is 7% higher as compared to 4,451 electric vehicles sold in the same period last year.

Tata Motors recently launched the facelifted Nexon, updated Harrier and Safari as well as the new Nexon EV. Nexon compact SUV is the best selling car of Tata Motors. And the Punch micro SUV, which has seen its range expanded along with the Altroz, as both the models have been launched with CNG.

Tata is planning to launch many new models next year

Tata is planning to launch many new models in the next year or so. The Punch EV, Curve and Harrier EV have already been spotted testing on public roads several times. The Punch EV will be positioned below the Nexon EV in the brand’s domestic lineup, while the Curve will be introduced in 2024 in electric avatar as well as ICE version.

Tata Curve EV will come before ICE variant

Tata Curve EV will come before the ICE variant and its driving range is claimed to be more than 500 km. The IC-engined Curve will compete directly with midsize SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Tata Curve EV Engine

A new 1.5 liter TGDI petrol engine will also join the lineup and may be introduced first in the Curve. This engine will produce power of 168 hp and torque of 280 Nm. Harrier and Safari Petrol are also to be launched next year.
