A female primary school teacher in Deoria, UP has accused a constable posted in Varanasi of raping her on the pretext of marriage. Not only this, the accused constable demanded lakhs of rupees by threatening to make an obscene video of the female teacher and make it viral. On the complaint of the victim female teacher, the police have registered a case of rape and blackmailing against the accused constable. The victim, a resident of Mahuadih police station area of the district, is posted as an assistant teacher in a women’s primary school. She lives in a rented house in a locality in the Kotwali area of the city. Due to dispute with her husband, a divorce case is going on in the court. The female teacher had registered for marriage on the matrimonial website in 2021. The victim says that the constable became close to her through a matrimonial site and then had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage. According to the female teacher, the constable repeatedly demanded Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 into his account while threatening to make the woman’s video viral. On August 6, 2023, the constable threatened over the phone that since you are a government teacher, if you do not pay Rs 5 lakh within three months, he will make your obscene video viral.
This is the whole matter
In fact, on the matrimonial website of the female teacher, she got acquainted with Arvind Kumar Jaiswal, son of Jogeshwar Prasad, resident of Khaliyari village of Robertsganj police station area of Sonbhadra district, who was working as a clerk in the traffic office of Varanasi. After this, the female teacher started talking about marriage by taking the phone number from the website. The female teacher talked about marriage after divorce. On this, Arvind had promised that he would marry her after the divorce. In this situation the conversation proceeded. After this the constable started calling and talking again and again. The female teacher refused several times, but he did not agree. The female teacher says that the accused constable called on 11 November 2021 and came to Deoria and asked to stay in a hotel. He said he wanted to meet my parents. On this I said that he is not at home, we will meet in Gorakhpur. On which he said that then it is okay, I will come to your house. After coming home, I made him drink tea etc.
Used to extort money by threatening videos
The female teacher alleges that the constable sent her out of the room on the pretext of water and mixed intoxicants in tea and made her drink, due to which I became unconscious. After which Arvind forcibly had physical relations. During this time he also took obscene videos. When I raised my objection after regaining consciousness, Arvind said that there is no problem, we have to get married. But after this Arvind’s expression changed. He started sexually exploiting me by asking me to make a video. The woman said that on November 12, 2022, Arvind threatened over the phone that he has made an obscene video of you, send Rs 10,000 immediately otherwise I will make it viral. After this this sequence continued. He would extort money by threatening to make videos. Used to sexually exploit on the pretext of marriage.
Case registered, investigation started
The victim female teacher says that she had been making rounds of the SP office for a month but no hearing was taking place. The victim met SP Sankalp Sharma and pleaded for justice. In this case, Sadar Kotwal Ved Prakash Sharma said that on the orders of the Superintendent of Police, a case was registered against the accused constable under sections 376, 384 and 506. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
