Deoghar: On Monday, Chait month Saptami Tithi, there was a huge crowd in the Baba temple from morning till late evening. Due to it being an auspicious date, there was a steady stream of people getting tonsured. Due to large crowd, the devotees who came to the temple to get tonsured had to wait for a long time due to lack of space. Dozens of people were seen getting tonsured even in the scorching heat. Apart from the verandahs of all the temples located in the Baba Mandir complex, the verandahs of the Suvidha Kendra were also filled with devotees. Due to the crowd of devotees who came to offer water, the overbridge also remained filled till 3 pm. The number of devotees who took coupons and offered water was also quite large. By the time the doors closed, around three thousand people had taken coupons and offered water. Around 50 thousand devotees offered water through the common queue.
Shakti Mahotsav will be organized on Tuesday under the joint aegis of Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi and Baba Baidyanath Dham-Basukinath Shrine Board. On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, a cultural evening will be organized in worship of Mother Goddess at a total of seven Shaktipeeths. On this occasion, devotional music, dance, singing and playing will take place from 5.30 pm on Tuesday. This information was given by the local coordinator of the program, Abhishek Surya.
