Deoghar: Municipal Commissioner inspected Chhath Ghats and took stock of the arrangements, said this

Deoghar Municipal Commissioner Yogendra Prasad inspected the ponds of the urban area. On Chhath Puja, the corporation took stock of the arrangements for water, electricity, cleanliness etc. Instructions were given to spray lime, bleaching etc. around Chhath Ghats on Sunday morning. The Municipal Commissioner said that, regarding Chhath Puja, along with his team, he inspected more than half a dozen places like Shivganga, Jalsar, Mathabandh, Chhatisi, Saheb Pokhara etc. Every possible facility is being provided by the corporation. It has been asked to spray lime-bleaching and install water tanker on Sunday morning. The Municipal Commissioner appealed to all the people to celebrate Chhath festival with mutual coordination. Even after Sunday and Monday are holidays, the corporation will continue to provide water, electricity and sanitation. Employees of all three branches will provide their services. If Chhath Puja committee and devotees have any problem, they can also complain to the corporation control room. The control room will remain open. Assistant Municipal Commissioner Ranjit Singh, Rajiv Ranjan, Senior Sanitation Inspector Ajay Kumar etc. were present on the spot.

Corporation is filling water in three ponds

For the convenience of Chhath fasts, water is being filled in three ponds by the Municipal Corporation. In this, two ponds are being filled with water through tankers, while one pond is being filled with water through pipeline. Municipal Commissioner Yogendra Prasad said that full care is being taken for the convenience of the devotees regarding Chhath Puja. Shortage of water was reported in three ponds. The order has been issued on 16 November. In view of the acute shortage of water in Batisi pond and Saheb Pokhar, water filling work is being done.

Wrapping happened in electric poles near the ghats

Keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, plastic wrapping was done on the electric poles near Chhath Ghats on Saturday. The electricity department inspected 14-16 Chhath Ghats in the urban area and marked the electricity poles, which were wrapped in the morning. Electrical Assistant Electrical Engineer Luv Kumar said that more than 100 such electricity poles have been wrapped with plastic. Departmental personnel including JE Prabhateshwar Tiwari were present on the spot.
