Deoghar: The police solved the mother-son murder case in Jasidih police station area in just 48 hours. Giving information about the case in the press conference held at the sub-divisional police office, Deoghar SDPO Pawan Kumar said that due to illicit relationship, the mother and son were murdered by their close relative and to divert the case, it was given the form of robbery. . After the incident, a raid team was formed by the senior officer under his leadership. On the basis of evidence found in the investigation, the raid team arrested Tinku Rai, who was involved in the murder of mother and son. The raid team has also recovered a mobile phone from him. SDPO said that the evidence obtained in the investigation revealed that there was an illicit relationship between the accused and the deceased for about 10 years. At that time the accused was not even married. The mother and son were murdered by strangulation and water was also poured on their bodies to destroy the scientific evidence. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and gave all the information to the raid team.
First killed the woman, when the son saw her, he killed her too.
In his confession statement, the accused also confirmed that he had a relationship with the deceased for 10 years. The accused also told during police interrogation that as soon as the door was opened, he strangled the woman to death, which his son saw. For this reason the son of the deceased was also strangled to death. During interrogation, it was told that a few days ago, the woman had given the money deposited by the group to the accused to buy a tractor, but he was not able to even get the tractor running. Gradually the people of the society also came to know about this tainted relationship between the two. The wife of the accused had also come to know about the illicit relationship between the two, hence he wanted to distance himself from the woman. On the other hand, the woman was blackmailing him about the money given by the group. SDPO said that when the medicolegal report comes, it will be known whether there is involvement of others in helping the accused in this case or not. Other accused named in this case are currently absconding from home. So far, the police have found evidence against only one accused. Others may also be involved in further research.

The woman and her nine-year-old son were murdered by strangulation on the night of 17-18 January. On the complaint of the deceased’s father, an FIR for murder has been registered in Jasidih police station, in which Niranjan Rai, Niranjan’s wife Babita Devi, his two sons Tinku Rai, Pinku Rai and SHG group member have been made accused. Jasidih police station in-charge cum inspector Satyendra Prasad was also present during the press conference.
