Bihar Dengue News: Dengue cases are continuously increasing in Bihar. More cases have been found in Bhagalpur and Patna. The speed of dengue is more fast in Bhagalpur. To prevent dengue, the Health Department has started intensive spraying of anti-larva drug in village panchayats and municipal bodies in municipal areas. Monitoring of availability of medicines in hospitals and platelets in medical colleges has started. So far this year, 398 new dengue cases have been found in the state. In this, so far 146 dengue patients have been found in Patna district and 133 in Bhagalpur district. The reason for more cases in these two cities is being said to be due to the construction work being done due to Metro and Smart City.

Additional Director of Health Department will go to Bhagalpur

Dr. Ashok Kumar, Additional Director of the Health Department said that no death of a dengue patient has been reported from any district. Hospitals everywhere are in alert mode. He told that not a single dengue case has been found in districts like Siwan, Chhapra and Shivhar. Dengue will be reviewed every day from Monday at the government level. Further action will be taken according to the reports received from the districts in the review. The Additional Director told that he is going to Bhagalpur on Friday regarding the increasing case of dengue. It will be reviewed there.

Dengue killed 32 people last year

It is known that the number of dengue patients is increasing year by year in the state. If you look at the previous figures, in 2017, a total of 1738 cases of dengue were reported in the state and two people died. According to the department, in 2022, 13972 new cases of dengue were found in the state and this disease had also killed 32 people. The highest number of dengue cases are expected in September this year. So far 398 cases have been found.

48 new dengue patients in Bhagalpur, condition of 10 patients critical

The number of dengue patients is continuously increasing in Bhagalpur. On Thursday, 48 new dengue patients were identified after investigation. After investigation, 15 dengue patients were found in JLNMCH and 33 in Sadar Hospital. Nine patients were discharged from Mayaganj hospital after recovery. On Thursday, 60 patients were undergoing treatment in the fabricated hospital of Mayaganj Hospital, 24 in the MCH ward and 15 in the Medicine HDU. Out of these, the reports of 25 patients have come positive in the ELIZA test. CS in-charge Dr. Manej Kumar Chaudhary said that additional kits are being purchased for NS-1 Elijah positive test in the blood bank of Sadar Hospital. Of the total dengue patients, the condition of 10 is critical.

Fogging machine will be purchased in all government hospitals

To kill dengue mosquitoes, fogging will be done in and around all government hospitals. In this regard, the Health Department has instructed Sadar, Referral, Sub-Divisional and PHC hospitals to purchase fogging machines. The Rogi Kalyan Samiti will pay the amount for the purchase. It will also be reviewed from Patna headquarters level on September 8. Following the instructions issued by the department, an attempt was made by the hospital managers to purchase the machine. But the machine was not found anywhere in Bhagalpur. Now the process of getting the machine from Kolkata is going on. If the purchase of the machine is not done on time, then the action is fixed.

Dengue cases in Patna..

The pace of dengue has started increasing in Patna district. In the last two days, more than 20 cases have started being received. Whereas before this, on an average around 10 to 12 new patients are being found every day. On Thursday, 24 new patients were found in the district. Of these, maximum 13 people have been identified in Patliputra region. Here two people from the same family have become dengue positive. After this, four people in Kankarbagh, two in Azimabad and two in Nujan Rajdhani region have become victims of dengue. With this, the number of active patients in the district also crossed 170.

Within 24 hours, four new patients have been admitted to the dengue wards of PMCH, IGIMS and NMCH in Patna. Whereas after dengue report came negative, one patient has been discharged from PMCH and one patient from IGIMS. Civil Surgeon Dr. Shravan Kumar said that 14 areas of the city like Patliputra, Kankarbagh, Mahendru, Transport Nagar, Phulwarisharif, Danapur, Rajiv Nagar etc. have been declared sensitive. Here, with the help of Municipal Corporation, instructions have been given to spray medicines etc. and remove accumulated water. He said that dengue outbreak is occurring where water is stagnant. In the areas where there is an outbreak, fogging and larvicidal spraying is being done.
