Here, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj told on Friday that genome sequencing of 20 samples infected with dengue was done, out of which 19 were found to be of severe form type 2. Talking to the media, Bhardwaj had said that the fine has been increased to Rs 1000 per family and Rs 5000 per commercial establishment for breeding mosquitoes. Earlier, CM Arvind Kejriwal had discussed about stopping the spread of other mosquito-borne diseases including dengue. At the same time, the Health Minister of Delhi said that the Chief Minister of Delhi has directed the Health Department to reserve beds for dengue patients in hospitals and mohalla clinics and ensure availability of medicines. Significantly, there are four serotypes of dengue virus, which include DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3 and DENV-4. In this, DENV-2 is considered the most serious.
