Dengue cases are continuously increasing in Jharkhand, number of patients 914, have to lobby for beds in hospitals.

Dengue and chikungunya cases are continuously increasing in Jharkhand. The number of dengue patients across the state has increased to approximately 914, while 243 chikungunya patients have been identified. According to the Health Department, the positivity rate of dengue has reached 14 percent. This figure has happened after the number of investigations increased. Here, due to increase in the number of patients, dengue patients are finding it difficult to get beds in government and private hospitals.

Have to lobby for beds in RIMS and Sadar Hospital. At the same time, expert doctors say that there is no need to panic when reports of dengue come. Do consult a doctor, but get admitted to hospital only if platelets are less than 10 thousand. Here, so far 67 patients have suffered from dengue in the capital Ranchi. In the last three days, 25 to 30 dengue patients have been admitted in big private hospitals of the city, including some suspected patients.

140 dengue patients are admitted in Ranchi hospitals.

At the same time, 19 dengue victims are also undergoing treatment in children’s hospitals, out of which 13 children are admitted in Rani Hospital and six in Balpan Hospital. Here, the government figures are showing 60 percent fewer dengue patients than the actual number, because they have not been confirmed in the MAC-ELISA test. Dr. BK Singh, SPO of Vector Borne Disease Department, said that hospitals have to provide the list of dengue victims. At the same time, the lab also has to give the report of positive patients to the health department.

RIMS will request Sadar Hospital to admit patients:

20 dengue patients are admitted in RIMS. At the same time, 39 patients are undergoing treatment in Sadar Hospital, out of which four new patients admitted on Wednesday are also included. The patients have been kept in isolation ward. Fever patients have also suddenly increased. Due to this, patients have to be admitted and treated on the floor in all the units of the medicine department of RIMS. In such a situation, RIMS Management Sadar Hospital will be requested to admit the patients. On the other hand, due to increase in the number of dengue patients in Sadar Hospital, the demand for platelets in the blood bank has increased. At present there are 44 units of platelets and 256 whole units in reserve.

215 samples tested, eight positive:

On Wednesday, 215 samples were tested in the state, out of which 18 were found dengue positive. Of these, five victims have been confirmed in East Singhbhum, four in Dhanbad, two in Dumka, two in Pakur, two in Koderma, one each in Palamu, Ramgarh and Seraikela.

Health Department had sent funds in April, districts did not purchase the machine:

The Health Department had sent money to the districts in April to purchase fogging machines, but many districts did not purchase the machines. SPO Dr. BK Singh said that the districts have been asked to purchase the machine immediately. A reminder letter for this has been sent on Wednesday.
