Bihar Caste Survey: Caste survey data has been released in Bihar. On October 2, the state government released the caste survey data on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. In which it has come to light that what is the number of people of which caste in the state. The number of followers of all religions has also come to light. The petitioners also reached the Supreme Court in protest against the release of caste survey data, but the Supreme Court also refused to ban the release of this data. On the other hand, politics is heated regarding the caste survey data. There is discussion about this survey from Bihar to Delhi. The party and the opposition are attacking each other. Allegations are being made from both sides. Meanwhile, now the leaders of the ruling parties of Bihar have demanded to conduct caste survey in other states also. Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Tejashwi Yadav demanded to conduct this survey in other states also and also explained the reason behind it. The same demand has been raised from JDU side also.

Tejashwi Yadav demanded that caste survey should be done in every state.

Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and son of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav has demanded that caste survey should be conducted in other states on the lines of Bihar and caste data should be brought out. While talking to the media on Saturday, Tejashwi Yadav said that this should happen everywhere. Now this demand is being raised all over the country. State governments should get this done at their places. It has also been said in the elections that caste survey will be conducted. Through this, policy decisions can be taken. We have done this as humanity. While attacking BJP, Tejashwi Yadav said that those who are objecting should demand from the Prime Minister to conduct caste census in the country. This is also not happening. You will know which population is in which situation in the country. So that policy can be made accordingly. He supported the statement of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in which Priyanka Gandhi has said that if Congress government is formed in Chhattisgarh, then like Bihar, the state government will conduct caste survey there too. When JP Nadda, who came to Bihar, again reiterated his old statement and talked about the extinction of regional parties in the future, Tejashwi Yadav reacted to it and said that we feel that they themselves are coming to an end. When there is no state then where will the center be? Not only have the people left the BJP, now the alliance partners in the region are also leaving.

Demand raised from JDU also

Here, JDU’s national general secretary and speaker Rajeev Ranjan said on Friday that while respecting the sentiments of the upper caste community, the central government should conduct caste census in the country. He said that after Bihar, it is now coming to light that Odisha has the highest number of extremely backward communities in the caste census. While in Bihar the number of extremely backward communities is 36 percent, in Odisha its number is said to be 46 percent. JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said that the statement on the veracity of the caste census figures is the result of the frustration of the opponents. Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha and Chirag Paswan are also speaking the language of BJP. The basic objective of caste census is to bring positive change in the lives of Dalit and backward and extremely backward society. At the same time, the leaders who run their political shops in the name of Dalits and backward classes are today raising questions on the caste census itself.

Where does BJP have any objection?

Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Vijay Kumar Sinha has termed the caste census report as a fabrication. While discussing with the journalists after listening to the problems of the people who had come for the cooperation program at the BJP State Office on Friday, he said that in the meeting I had raised the question that how did the signature of the head of the household of those who were out of the house get obtained? Former Deputy Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi said that after the caste survey report was made public, people of almost all castes, except the selected castes associated with power, are feeling cheated. When many people, including former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha and a JDU MP, are not considering the survey data reliable, then the survey process should be reviewed. Sushil Modi said that after the approval of the High Court and the Supreme Court on the policy decision of the government to conduct caste survey in Bihar, now there is no legal issue regarding the survey. On the other hand, the credibility of the survey has become a public issue.
