Luxury Cars: Amid the increasing demand in India, sales of luxury cars may cross the 50,000 units mark for the first time in 2024. This claim has been made by Audi India chief Balbir Singh Dhillon. Audi sales increased by 89 percent in India last year
Last year, Audi’s retail sales in India increased by 89 percent to 7,931 units, while in 2022 this figure was 4,187 units. Asked when the industry could touch the one lakh unit annual sales mark, Dhillon said, “If we cross the 50,000 unit mark this year and the growth remains in double digits in the coming years, then We will see it happening soon.”

Audi will have more than 30 showrooms by the end of this year
He said the industry’s growth may be slightly slower this year compared to the 28 percent growth recorded in 2023. The Audi India chief said the industry faced supply chain challenges in the January-March quarter this year. He told that last year we had 25 showrooms and by the end of this year we aim to take this figure to 30.
