Delhi Weather: Delhi is suffering from heavy rains. A portion of the road near Shershah Road in Delhi caved in on Tuesday morning, disrupting traffic at the India Gate C-Hexagon. Information in this regard has been given by the traffic police. While Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that lack of sewer line, water drainage and water conservation plan in Delhi is responsible for waterlogging in the national capital. On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has strongly attacked the Kejriwal government.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra surrounded the AAP government of Delhi by holding a press conference on Tuesday and said that it is the habit of CM Arvind Kejriwal that he blames others for everything. He said that they spend crores in advertisements but when Delhi needs them, they start imposing responsibility on others.

Here, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said on Tuesday that the city’s population has increased by 50 lakhs since 2014, but plans for sewer lines and water drainage have not been prepared accordingly. Taking stock of the situation of rising water level in Yamuna river in Yamuna Bazar area, Saxena said that there was a need to prepare well in advance to deal with the unexpected rains. The Lieutenant Governor also inspected Pragati Maidan tunnel, Minto Bridge and Zakhira underpass.
