The palace belonged to the Pathan period

According to the information revealed, this monument was a palace of Pathan period and it is the only remains of Khizrabad city established by Khizr Khan of Sayyid dynasty. For information, let us tell you that it used to come under the jurisdiction of Delhi Jal Board. If reports are to be believed, in December 2020, the Archaeological Department had visited the 15th century Pathan Kaal Mahal. After which the Archaeological Department had written a letter to the Delhi Jal Board asking them to give it the right to save the monument. It was told in the report of the Archaeological Department that at that time two buildings were present there. The main building of a palace and an entry gate.

Archaeological Department visited again

In the month of January 2023, the Archaeological Department once again visited this monument. But, during this he found that only the entry gate is present there. According to media reports, instead of the main building of the palace, a government residence was built there. In the notice of the Vigilance Department, it was said that the palace of Pathan period was allegedly demolished at the behest of Udit Prakash Rai, CEO of Delhi Jal Board and for this the help of engineers of Delhi Jal Board was also taken.

Two weeks time to reply to the notice

The posting of 2007 batch IAS officer Udit Prakash Rai is at present Mizoram. It was also told in the issued notice that Udit Rai was fully aware that this palace is a historical monument, despite the notice to vacate the bungalow, his family is living in this bungalow. He has been given two weeks time to reply to the notice issued by the Vigilance Department.
