Delhi Liquor Scam: Chanpreet Singh, who was allegedly managing the funds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the Goa Assembly elections, has been arrested by ED. The Aam Aadmi Party has been enraged by his arrest. AAP leader and Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has said that people do not believe that AAP is involved in corruption. He said that BJP is adopting various tactics to defame Aam Aadmi Party. Let us tell you, after arresting Chanpreet Singh, he was produced in the special court from where the court has sent him to ED custody till April 18.
Chanpreet Singh in ED custody
Let us tell you, Chanpreet Singh has been arrested in a money laundering case related to Delhi Excise Policy. Chanpreet Singh is accused of managing the funds of Aam Aadmi Party during the Goa Assembly elections. Quoting official sources, it was said that Chanpreet Singh had allegedly arranged cash for the campaign of Aam Aadmi Party in the 2022 Goa Assembly elections. However, Aam Aadmi Party has said regarding ED’s action that ED has been unable to recover even a single rupee or find any kind of evidence in this case.
Arvind Kejriwal is being insulted- Bhardwaj
At the same time, Delhi Government Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said about the jail of CM Arvind Kejriwal that many ministers including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal have been sent to jail. He said that the laws were the same but despite this Kejriwal is being humiliated in jail. An attempt is being made to create mental pressure. Pressure is being put on CM Kejriwal to break him. However, he also said that Arvind Kejriwal’s entire life has been a struggle. They will not break.
Kejriwal is being treated like a hardened criminal – Mann
Earlier, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann had also met AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail yesterday i.e. on Monday. After the meeting, he had alleged that CM Arvind Kejriwal was being treated like a hardened criminal in jail. Let us tell you that after the arrest by ED in the Delhi Excise Policy case, CM Arvind Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar Jail. According to the jail rules, CM Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met.
ED’s action is politically motivated- AAP
At the same time, regarding ED’s action, Aam Aadmi Party has called it politically motivated. Aam Aadmi Party alleges that ED is investigating politically motivated. AAP said that the ED has not recovered even a single rupee in this case, nor has the ED been able to find any concrete evidence. Despite this, many AAP leaders and ministers have been arrested and sent to jail.
