Delhi Liquor Policy Case: The hearing of Delhi Excise Policy Scam is being held in Rouse Avenue Court. Now Kaveri Baweja will hear this case in place of MK Nagpal, along with this she will also hear other cases.

In the Excise Policy case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested and interrogated several Aam Aadmi Party leaders and Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Legislative Council member. In this case, ED has so far arrested 15 people including AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh and some liquor businessmen.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also received ED summons.

ED has issued summons to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal several times for questioning in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case. But Kejriwal has not yet appeared before the ED for questioning. ED has approached the court against this. On the other hand, Chief Minister Kejriwal has moved the Delhi High Court challenging all the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy matter. Now the division bench of Delhi HC will hear the case tomorrow on March 20.

AAP made serious allegations against ED

Delhi government minister Atishi accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of becoming a ‘political weapon’. Atishi alleged that the aim of the ED is to stop Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal from campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections.

ED had registered the case in 2022

The ED said it has conducted searches at 245 locations across the country since the case was registered in 2022. ED has filed a total of six chargesheets in this case so far and has attached properties worth more than Rs 128 crore.
