Delhi: A woman who went out to take her children on vacation became a victim of negligence, died due to electrocution at the station

New Delhi: A woman has died due to negligence at New Delhi railway station. Actually this woman was a teacher by profession and had gone out for a holiday with her family. The 35-year-old teacher has been identified as Sakshi Ahuja. According to the information, the woman died due to electrocution at the railway station. If media reports are to be believed, this incident happened at a waterlogged place and the woman was clinging to the electric pole. Auto and taxi drivers present nearby went ahead to save them but, they could not be saved. While trying to save the woman, her sister also got electrocuted, but both the children of the woman were saved in time.

Case registered under IPC section

Speaking on the matter, Railway DCP Apoorva Gupta said that a case has been registered under IPC sections of death due to negligence and negligent conduct involving machinery (287). At the same time, Sakshi’s father Lokesh Kumar Chopra told that we were going to Chandigarh. I was in the parking area when I got information that my daughter had died due to electrocution. Sakshi’s father has told the concerned officer responsible for the daughter’s death. The woman’s husband Ankit Ahuja said that many departments are responsible for this accident. However, this claim was denied by DCP Gupta. Rejecting the allegations, he said that the team immediately reached the spot and took the victim to the hospital. Postmortem is being done at Lady Hardinge Hospital.
