Darbhanga bound flight diverted to Patna

SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Darbhanga was diverted to Patna on Thursday. The reason for the flight being diverted was the fog spread around Darbhanga Airport. Due to this the pilot could not see the runway. After circling in the sky for some time, he made another attempt to land but due to not being able to see the runway, he was not successful. He was forced to divert to Patna. There were 184 passengers on board the plane and it landed at Patna airport at 4:15 pm. There is no night landing facility in Darbhanga. Therefore, instead of trying to land at Darbhanga again, the pilot left the passengers in Patna, who were sent to Darbhanga by four buses at five in the evening.
