Deepotsav in Ayodhya on November 11, 24 lakh lamps will be lit on Ram Ki Pauri, light and sound show will run for 5 years

Ayodhya : To celebrate Deepotsav in Ayodhya on November 11, at least 24 lakh earthen lamps will be lit at Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of Saryu. This year’s Deepotsav will also mark the beginning of a daily light and sound show at Ram Ki Paidi, which will continue for the next five years. Officials said two shows will be organized every day and the plan proposed by the tourism department has received the green signal from the government. Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said, “The project of light and sound show has been given to the government agency Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited. Like the German hangar, two steel columns with a height of about 65 feet will be built. There will be a 30 feet wide platform in the middle and A 200 feet long curtain will be put up. Light and sound shows are being set up at Ram Ki Pauri at a cost of about Rs 20 crore. Under the plan, two shows will be run daily. The agency will show films based on Ramayana on the lines of Surya Kund, which is located in Saryu. It will run after the Aarti. District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said that a light and sound show will be organized for 2 hours in the evening which will be free of cost. This will continue for five years.”
