Death of female leopard Radha in Birsa Zoo, was born on June 5, 2009

A leopard named Radha died on Friday in Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, Chakala. Radha was ill since 10th July. He was being treated by Dr. Omprakash Sahu, the veterinarian of the garden. At the same time, opinion was also taken from the veterinary doctor of Ranchi Veterinary College, Kanke, Dr. Ansar Ahmed and the veterinary doctor of Dehradun. But, due to old age, the leopard died.

Zoo director Jabbar Singh told that the female leopard Radha was brought from Wajid Ali Zoo in Lucknow on March 2, 2017. It is said that Radha was born on June 5, 2009. Under the leadership of Professor Dr. Sanjit Kumar of Veterinary College, Kanke, the team conducted the post-mortem of the leopard. The initial cause of death was said to be his old age. He also had hepatitis and pneumonia.
