Deadly land dispute in Nalanda, 60 year old man shot dead

Nalanda. Efforts to stop the bloodshed during the land dispute in Bihar have so far been ineffective. Even today, most of the murder cases are happening due to land disputes. The latest case is from Nalanda, the home district of the Chief Minister. A 60 year old man was shot dead here late on Tuesday evening. The incident took place in Gaus Nagar village of Sarmera police station area. It is said that late in the night the miscreants killed the old man by shooting him in the neck. The deceased has been identified as Ramashray Yadav, 60-year-old son of Chhotu Yadav. The police is investigating the matter.

Death on the spot due to bullet injury in the neck

There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after the murder. There is chaos among the same family. Lalan Yadav, son of deceased Ramashray Yadav, told that there was a land dispute going on with Shankar Kewat and Dilip Raut for years. Late in the evening both the accused started beating Lalan Yadav’s nephew. Ramashray Yadav was on the terrace. Hearing the noise, he came down and went inside the house to save his grandson. At the same time, both the miscreants fired twice at Ramashray Yadav. The father died on the spot after being shot in the neck. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

There is a dispute over 6 katha land

Police Station Head Vikas Kumar Yadav said that the incident was carried out due to a dispute over 6 katha land. The incident is said to be a 15 year old land dispute. After getting information about the incident, the police brought the injured to Sadar Hospital and admitted him. There the doctor declared the old man dead. In the preliminary investigation, the reason behind the incident appears to be a land dispute. At present the police is busy investigating the entire matter. There is no information about any arrest in this case so far.
