Dead body of engineering student found in Nandan Pahad pond of Deoghar

Deoghar: On Saturday, the dead body of civil engineering student Aryan Marandi (24 years) was recovered by the police in the filtration pond behind Nandan Pahad under the city police station of Deoghar. The body of the deceased was found on the banks of the pond. However, family members have expressed suspicion of murder. According to the information, the deceased was originally a resident of Jhundi village of Devipur police station area. Whereas, his father Suresh Marandi is APP in Sahebganj Court.

Had left home saying to fill the form

It is said that the deceased Aryan Marandi took Rs 750 from his mother at around 7:30 pm on April 10 and left the house saying that he would fill the form. When he did not return till late at night, his family started worrying about him. After this, when his family called him at 10:30 pm, his mobile started saying that it was switched off. The next day his mother complained about her son’s disappearance to the city police station. Since then the police was investigating him and his body was found this morning itself. This spread sensation in the entire area. The body of the deceased was floating in water on its stomach. So his stomach was filled with water.

Father accused of murder

The father alleges that someone strangled his son to death. After this, to destroy the evidence, his body was thrown into Nandan Pahad pond. Aryan was studying final year in civil engineering from Chaibasa Engineering College. After getting information about the case, city police station in-charge Rajeev Kumar along with SI Dharamveer Bhagat, Prem Tudu, OP Singh, Ajay Kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar Singh reached the spot along with the police force and after doing Panchnama of the dead body, sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. At present the police is busy investigating the matter.
