It is noteworthy that Mukhtar was brought to Banda Jail from Ropar Jail in Punjab in April 2021. After which Mukhtar Ansari is lodged in this jail. Mukhtar is afraid of something happening to himself after going to court. Due to which he also requests for his appearance through video conferencing. It is being told that these days he is busy preparing for the upcoming cases in the courts of Ghazipur, Barabanki and Banaras. It is expected that this week a decision can be taken in at least two ongoing court cases, about which he has been thinking day and night. Jail Superintendent Viresh Raj Sharma said that in the next few days, the decision in the cases pending in Ghazipur, Barabanki and Banaras courts is expected, regarding which Mukhtar seems worried. After the court’s order, his appearance is conducted through video conferencing. These days he is troubled with lawsuits, his daily routine has also changed. He sleeps at 5 in the morning and wakes up at 11 in the morning. He keeps walking all day long and remains stressed. From the security point of view, there is adequate security arrangement inside the gate adjacent to the main gate, with CCTV cameras keeping a special eye on every entry and exit. Soldiers armed with body cameras are deployed for his security. PAC personnel along with police and civil police are deployed in the entire jail campus, I myself monitor it. Rest of the arrangements are available to all the prisoners as per the jail manual.
