Actually, Shabana Parveen alias Rosie, a resident of Ballia village of Biraul police station area of Darbhanga district, was married to Hamid alias Tufail, a youth from her maternal maternal home, Ahisdih, years ago. Hamid was the son of Harun, a resident of Sankanhai, from her mother’s first husband. A few years after the son’s marriage, the mother got married for the third time to her son Hamid’s father-in-law i.e. her own friend. Hamid and woman Shabana have two children.
There was a dispute regarding land
According to the villagers, on the death of Shabana on August 22, her family members from Ballia also reached her funeral. Shabana’s last rites were performed. After a few days, the family members of the deceased put pressure on Hamid’s maternal grandfather to register his land in the name of both his children so that there would be no further problems. This matter was agreed upon on 13 September. On September 15, Hamid’s maternal grandfather Akbar also registered the land.
Brother applied and lodged an FIR
After this, on September 20, the deceased’s brother applied and lodged an FIR. The brother said that when he reached Ahisdih on September 13, he came to know that the sister had died. In the application she has alleged dowry harassment. Meanwhile, a video of Hamid went viral, in which he is seen saying that he was given poison in Litti and fed to him.
Dead body was excavated with JCB
Apart from her arrested husband, five other people were also named in the application given by the brother. After this, the police of Bargaon OP along with the videographic team excavated the body with JCB and took out the body. During this, hundreds of villagers remained spectators. People were seen recording from different mobile phones. CO RK Singh said that on the orders of the court, the body has been removed and sent for post-mortem.
