Diploma in Pharmacy: According to the Pharmacy Council of India, students will no longer be able to become pharmacists after completing only Diploma in Pharmacy. PCI has banned the registration of students who have passed out in the 2023-24 batch. The Council has banned the registration of students enrolled in Diploma in Pharmacy course in the last year (2022-23) who will pass out in the session 2023-24. PCI clearly said that students of session 2022-24 will be registered only when they pass the exit exam. In March 2022 itself, PCI had decided to make exit exam mandatory for those doing Diploma in Pharmacy.
